Wade Hampton High School is now ranked number 3 in South Carolina! We’re behind Academic Magnet High School in North Charleston and the Charleston School of the Arts. Basically, we’re number 1 since we’re not a school for the arts and we’re not a magnet school.

What makes us one of the best high schools in the state? Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college. We have 93 percent graduation rate, our college readiness index is 52.1, and 56 percent of our students that take the ACT pass it. Our national ranking is only 632, but considering there are 26,407 public high schools in the United States, that’s pretty dang good. Doesn’t that fill your General heart with pride?
