Attention pizza aficionados! Stone (Fire Inspired) Pizza Company is totally worth trying out. Stone is located at the corner of Stone Avenue and Park Avenue in Downtown Greenville. Stone Pizza Company started around the beginning of this year, and they’re still working on a few things. I went here for a date, and we were super impressed. We were seated immediately, the servers were really nice, and they let us bring our dog onto the patio. Also, the servers brought a bowl of water out for our dog, with no cost to us.

Stone has 3 pizza choices which are: New York Style (the only local Greenville Sourdough), Neapolitan, or you could build your own. They don’t have much of a menu, it consists of pizza, appetizers, and salads. We chose a pizza off of the Neapolitan menu called Tutta Carne. It has hand crushed artisan pizza sauce, sausage, pepperoni, pancetta, olives, fior di latte mozzarella, and extra virgin olive oil. Pancetta is an Italian bacon made from pork belly, which is just ham. It was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, and I don’t even like pizza that much. And the best part about this entire meal is that it was just under 20 dollars. I got a soda (which they didn’t even charge me for), my date got a drink, and we got a 15 dollar pizza. Technically, you get a personal pizza but it’s surely enough for two people. It’s a great option when you’re looking to try something fresh and different in a laid back, friendly atmosphere.

If you’re ever in the mood for pizza and you don’t mind spending a little extra for quality, I definitely suggest Stone Pizza Company.
