When J.K.Rowling’s magical wizarding world of Harry Potter came to life in 2001, fans were in love with the film adaptation of the series. When that sadly came to an end in 2011, fans immediately wanted more, whether that was more books continuing Harry’s story or focusing on a different group of characters entirely. There was a screenplay released in 2016 called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which followed Harry’s kids and their time at Hogwarts, but it was not as popular or successful as the original series. Then in 2016, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released which followed Newt Scamander and his newly found friends in New York City in the 1920s when a dark force started terrorizing the city and risked the secrets of the wizarding world. After that movie became a smash hit two sequels were planned to come out in the following years.

This year, the second, called Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, was released. This movie shows the rise of Grindelwald and his followers to take over the wizarding world and muggle world. The story of this installment shows Newt Scamander on a mission for Albus Dumbledore to investigate Grindelwald’s activity in Paris after he escaped captivity. Then Newt meets back up with the rest of his friends from the first movie Queenie, Jacob, and Tina to tackle the crimes of Grindelwald. With plenty of exciting twists and turns, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a great movie for any fan of the Harry Potter franchise.
