Everyone wants their face to be zit-free, but for those who do not want to spend their cash on new extravagant, there are not many options. If it has always seemed impossible to save money and get pampered, look no further than this cheap, DIY avocado yogurt face mask. Face masks are the perfect way to relax and relieve the stress that could be causing breakouts. So, why not save a little money and make it at home?

The ingredients in this simple avocado mask are the following:

  • ¼ of a ripe avocado
  • 1 teaspoon or plain organic yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon of honey

My favorite part about this DIY was that I already had all of the ingredients at home. I did not spend any money on this, but the ingredients would have been around $10 altogether if I had to buy them. To start making the fresh avocado yogurt face mask, take 1/4 ripe avocado and mash it up in a bowl until it turns lump free. Then, mix the mashed avocado into 1 teaspoon of plain organic yogurt and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. Stir them well until you get a paste of uniform consistency. Apply the mask onto your skin for 10-15 minutes or until it dries out. Finally, rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

This mask works for dry or oily skin and is great in the winter months. Four masks can be made with the ingredients above, so I shared this lovely face mask with junior Emily Miller. She seemed to like the relaxing DIY mask, too. She responded with, “This mask was easy to make and felt great on my skin.” This mask was everything I was hoping it would be. It made my face smooth and gave it a fresh feeling. With all this being said, I plan on using this avocado yogurt face mask a lot more on my skin, rather than spending money on a store-bought face mask, and I hope others will too!
