It is absolutely no secret that weather in Greenville this year has been unpredictable. One day it is a warm, sunny day and the next day temperatures are below freezing. Sometimes, in the span of a day, people could leave on their way to school noticing the cold or very hot weather, then only to walk out of school in confusion due to a completely opposite temperature. This weather has caught the county off guard as it continues to interrupt the daily lives of many, especially in the winter months. During the 2018-2019 school year, Greenville County schools are suffering with well over the allotted snow days. While still considering the school board’s suffering in the matter, they have not been the only ones to have to deal with a great burden of stress. Families from all over Greenville County have had to deal with the injury of loved ones as well, according to The Weather Channel, this can be largely attributed to the harsh weather conditions which made it difficult to drive safely. “I have almost crashed too many times on my way to school,” says junior Diana Hernandez. Gladly, the worst part is over for the school year, now all everyone waits for is spring break in mid-April and after that a nice and bright graduation for the seniors.
