Chip and Joanna Gaines began their career as a small couple struggling to make a living by flipping houses. However, their luck soon changed when they began their first business venture, Magnolia Market, in 2003 shortly after getting married. They quickly established an empire, starting with Magnolia Market, and moving onto bigger and better projects such as their HGTV show, Flip or Flop, a home decor brand, Magnolia, and The Silos. The Silos are a venue with a market, bakery, and breakfast restaurant that the Gaines’ often throw elaborate parties at. The Gains’ are now the well known face of the house and home franchises. On top of all of their businesses, the couple now has five children to raise that they often include in their business endeavors. The family’s newest addition to their growing empire is a TV network.

The new network, called Magnolia, will be focused on home, garden, food, community, and wellness. The first show, “Home on the Road”, airing in October 2020, will follow the Ramirez family as they tour the country with their band, Johnnyswim. Abner and Amanda Ramirez will take their two children, Joaquin and Luna, along with them. The six-episode show will keep up with the family as they tour cities such as Dallas, Jacksonville, New York, Chattanooga, Charleston, Los Angeles, and the Gaines’s hometown, Waco, Texas. When she heard about the show, junior Lindsey Bright said, “I would probably watch this show—it sounds really cool and I love Chip and Joanna Gaines!”
