Valentine’s Day did not shake out well for Harry Styles this year. The singer was reportedly mugged at knife point that Friday night while he was in Hampstead in North London.

The incident occurred around midnight, when Harry was approached by a man with a knife, demanding money.

After handing the man a wad of cash, Harry was let go, unscathed. As stated by an anonymous source, “He actually played it pretty cool, quickly giving the assailant cash, keeping himself and the guy calm and getting the situation over with. Understandably though it left him very shaken up afterwards.”

Some are not as concerned, like junior Charlie Hall who remarked, “Did you say Harry Styles got mugged or something? We should be concerned about the coronavirus!” However, for those who are worried about Harry, the police are allegedly conducting an investigation, although no arrest has been made so far.

Unfortunately for the star, the week did not get much better from there. He performed at the BRIT awards the following Tuesday, losing the best male solo artist award and the best album award to Stormzy and “Psychodrama” by Dave respectively.

Hours following Harry’s mugging fiasco, it was reported that his ex-girlfriend, Caroline Flack, died. Caroline reportedly killed herself, and Harry paid tribute to her during his BRIT performance. In addition to wearing a black ribbon in his performance, Harry also tweeted, “Caroline was one of the kindest, sweetest people I know.”

Another anonymous source commented, “Given how Caroline took her own life the next day, the pressures of a new album and a performance at the BRIT Awards this evening, it’s fair to say this [being mugged] is the last thing poor old Harry needed.”
