The Herald is Wade Hampton High School’s student-led newspaper.

The staff of The Herald is committed to generating truthful, relevant news for the Wade Hampton community. Weekly online content is created to serve as a reliable source of information on events concerning the high school. Additionally, articles will often concern appropriate outside topics of significance and general interest. Local and global articles offer understandable presentations of the issues of interest today.

All authors will be held responsible for the content of their articles and are given credit for their work through their byline. Bylined articles are the opinion of the individual writers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the staff or administration as a whole. Comments are welcomed on any article. Anonymous comments are accepted, but will not be published on the site. If you want your voice heard, please include your real name with your comment.

The Herald staff works diligently to produce articles which are meaningful and of interest to all readers. The staff strives for accuracy in its stories. Errors noticed within any article will be corrected, and the time of correction will be noted appropriately above the article.

The Herald seeks new members annually; the application process opens in December. Contact Mrs. Grieve in Room 202 for details.
